ATTENTION–STATE OF WISCONSIN OPEN& MASTERCLASS JUNIOR HANDLERS! ON SUNDAY, JULY 28 ,2019,THERE WILL BE A “TOP JUNIOR HANDLER OF THE YEAR” COMPETITION
Limited Junior Showmanship Qualifications MUST INDICATE ON ENTRY FOR TOP JUNIOR HANDLER COMPETITION
1 . MUST RESIDE IN WISCONSIN.
2 . Open to Juniors with First Place Wins in 2 OR MORE OPEN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES, with competition present, or entered in the MASTER JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES, having won 10 first place wins in an open class with competition. These classes will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years on on the day of the Show. The calendar for these classes will be from July 30, 2018 to July 10, 2019.
3 . NAME AND DATE OF THE SHOW OF THE QUALIFYING WINS MUST ACCOMPANY THE ENTRY FORM! MUST INDICATE ON ENTRY FOR TOP JUNIOR HANDLER COMPETITION!
4 . Each dog handled in this class must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or the Junior Handler ’s father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandmother, or grandfather (including the corresponding half and step relations) or by a member of the Junior Handler’s household and must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows or in Obedience Trials.
5 . Dogs entered and handled in this class may also, but need not be, entered in the Regular Show Class and are subject to all the provisions noted on entry form and in the premium list such as fees, closing date, and eligibility. 6 . Past TOP JUNIOR HANDLER winners of the “STATE OF WISCONSIN – TOP JUNIOR HANDLER OF THE YEAR”, including those previous winners at the Badger Kennel Club, and recipient of the top scholarship award, are not eligible for future competitions. Limited to 1 TOP scholarship win.
All Juniors entered will compete in Open or Master Classes on the day of the show (see 2 above). The judge for competition will compete prior to Groups, for the Title of State of Wisconsin Top Junior Handler. Judge Ms. Carissa Boetcher Awards TOP JUNIOR HANDLER – A $700.00 Scholarship* and a rosette 3 AWARD OF MERIT JUNIOR HANDLERS – 1st AOM will receive a $300.00 Scholarship* and a rosette 2nd AOM will receive a $200.00 Scholarship and a rosette 3rd AOM will receive a $100.00 Scholarship and a rosette *(The scholarships are a one-time scholarship for a post-secondary education, not necessarily a college or university. When the recipient enrolls, the Waukesha Kennel Club will require enrollment conformation from the school. The scholarship payment will be sent directly to the school for credit to the Junior Handler’s account. Any Junior, who does not redeem the scholarship by the age of 25 years old, will forfeit the scholarship.)
